Today I want to talk about Kombucha. Which is obviously utterly unrelated to these Banana Oatmeal Cookies, however I know you won't obey.
Let me start off by saying that my husband beverages apple cider vinegar mixed with water daily to reduce inflammation or anything like that.
He claims it's magical. I assert it's nasty.
While I know this will seem spectacular (cause it is), I literally dry heave in the sight and odor of his morning ritual on a daily basis. He loves that around me personally.
Based on this response, one would believe that I would stay far away from Kombucha, right? I suggest, after all, it certainly comes with a vinegary tang.
But for some reason, I continue trying it. I Need to like it SO DANG BAD.

I like these cookies somewhat about the undercooked side, so I inhale them for 9 or 10 minutes. If you prefer them to be cooked through, I'd take for 10-11 seconds.

BANANA OATMEAL COOKIES
YIELD: about 30 cookies PREP TIME: 10 minnutes COOK TIME: 10 minutes
1/2 cup unsalted butterat room temperature
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
3/4 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium)
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 cup cookie recipe without milk all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Scrape the sides of the bowl and then blend in the egg until completely incorporated. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and add in the mashed bananas and vanilla.
Gently add the the flour mixture to the banana mixture and blend until just blended.
Scrape down the sides of the bowl and stir to recombine.
Use a moderate cookie scoop (about 1.5 tablespoons) to scoop the dough onto prepared cookie sheets leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.
Bake in preheated oven for about 9-11 minutes.
Remove cookies from the oven and then gently press on the shirts of each cookie using the bottom of a drinking glass. Because these cookies do not spread much, this can give them a conventional cookie form.
Allow the banana oatmeal cookies to cool on the cookie sheets for 5 minutes before removing them to a wire rack to cool completely.
